  This place is clearly a scam. They come to your child's school, give a "free" assessment, and then, if your child exhibits any deviation from the norm, tell you that your child needs speech therapy or they will fall way behind their peers. The sessions are exorbitantly expensive (~$50 per half hour), not covered by insurance unless your child has a legitimate issue (congenital deformity, injury, etc), and as far as I could tell provide little actual help. In our case, our child simply wouldn't talk very much in class (3 year old preschool class). Even though we were skeptical of the benefit, we continued weekly sessions with this business for over a year because we wanted to do the best for our child. We discontinued service this past spring (2016) as we felt that our child was now ready to enter kindergarten without any detriments. I believe this was mostly due to our daughter's wonderful preschool teacher, but I was at peace with the money we had spent on speech therapy for whatever benefit it may have had... until about a month ago. We received a letter, out of the blue and with no prior notices, that we owed about $250 on random sessions on random dates ranging from mid-December into the spring, and that our account would be sent to collections in two weeks if we did not pay. Although my wife keeps good records, we have no way of proving that our daughter didn't have sessions on those dates almost a full year ago, and fearing for a hit to our credit rating we have arranged a payment plan with the company. The bottom line is that if your child is in preschool, and just doesn't talk as much as his/her peers, or doesn't enunciate as clearly, don't waste money on getting speech therapy at this place because they're just going to string you along by fear-baiting you with tales of how terrible you child is doing, and then after you discontinue your service claim you owe them more money.
