  Don't recommend at all, staff was amazing but the credentials of Dr. Alfaro I question with caution. I had a retinal detachment and he performed surgery and messed my eye up, I've been blind in that one eye for 1 year and 4 months, he told me everything went better than expected and I'd get my vision back 100% which was good to hear because from what I read on it, people claim that you will get some but not all back. Everyone On my way! I went to office with gas bubble he said two more weeks for vision to come back and I went every two weeks for 3 months until I moved back to Greenville, SC. I started seeing a doctor here and he claimed that blood vessels were behind my retina and that I'd be permanently blind in that eye, I read about a doctor in Florida in Pensacola and he analyzed eye and said he thinks it's blood vessels but he could fix the eye better than what it was. I had surgery yesterday and he said that there were no blood vessels back there only that the last doctor didn't taper my retina back on, it was puckered in a cone shape, if you've done the research if your retina is detached for so long that the light cells which are cones and rods dissipate from your eye and are permanently gone then. Then work with the brain in sending light to and from brain to give you a picture on eyes. I've never been cross eyed and was cross eyed before this last surgery, this Real Doctor in Florida got rid of the cross eye well floating eyes. I have vision even with gas bubble in and everything is clear but he permanently damaged my rods and cones in my eye and won't have perfect vision. The Real Doctor in Florida had to completely redo what Dr. Alfaro did to my eye and fixed most of his mistakes but can't restore what is gone. Pick your poison on doctors but I would not recommend Dr. Alfaro at all and would rather have my family operate on my eye than him ever again. Just speaking the truth here and I have all records to back this up. Choose wisely people, you only get one chance with your eyeballs go to someone that is experienced and knowledgeable in surgery and eye functions.
