Let me start by saying that I have been going to an OBGYN since I was 17 years old and have never had an issue and have always been made comfortable. I am now 25. Never once have I experienced any sort of anxiety about seeing an OBGYN. This was my first time going to a different OBGYN so I was a little nervous. The horrendous experience began when I first entered the waiting room and I could literally hear the staff's inappropriate conversation from the back talking about another patient. Once I was called back I changed into the paper robe and waited about 15 minutes on the examination chair for Dr. Baird to come in. Once she finally came in I told her I was nervous but she still made no attempt for any bed side manner. This is when the real horror story begins. My feet are in the stirrups and the nurse keeps walking in and out of the exam room OPENING THE DOOR about three different times. Dr. Baird asks me if I have ever had surgery on my cervix, I say no, and she says well it looks like you have. Obviously I would know if I have had surgery any where NEAR that area. She then states that I have two polyps on my cervix and before I was even able to ask a question she is in there getting them out! After retrieving the first one (which was quite painful) she missed the specimen jar the nurse was holding and the polyp fell on the FLOOR. Yes, fell on the floor. The nurse picked it up and put it in the jar to be sent to the lab. By this point I am mortified. She retrieves the second polyp and actually makes it into the jar this time and tells me to get dressed. So I am now in tears, the nurse and Dr. Baird both saw me crying and just walked out of the room. I went to the chair to put my clothes back on and the nurse had left the bloody forceps on the chair with my clothes!!! When I leave she says she will call me with the results (which I never hear from her and call back two months later asking for the results). Which were negative, thank goodness. Since that appointment I have been experiencing cramps like never before and have made an appointment at another OBGYN at a different practice for a consultation to try to resolve this cramping that only started after my visit with Dr. Baird.

This place is a disgrace. I am not as fertile as most women so it's hard to have a child.. my fiancee and I were trying to conceive a baby and I went to the OBGYN for guidance and help so we can start a new family together. (We were financially ready) the female doctor told me I'm too "young," to have a child and also she did not treat me like a patient. I felt like so angry just waiting 1 hour to be told that I am too young. I thought this was a joke but sad that it turned out to be the opposite of what me and my fiancee were looking for. P.s. judged upon my looks, didn't even look to see my age and I'm 24.
